During my daily trek through Atlanta and back I often listen to the radio. It's usually a constant barrage of where the accidents are, how disastrous the situation is, and that the rain should come in torrents any moment!
But the new talk of the town bears the ominous moniker, "Covid 19." As the ATL begins to shut down, the traffic has become quite . . . manageable. But. What, no basketball tournaments? The city stands to lose $100 million+! And required quarantines are just around the corner; what are we to do?
Well, if you are one of the good people I live around--those who vote and run businesses I frequent--you stampede to buy toilet paper by the pallet. And food enough for at least three months!
I'm thinking about a new microwave.
Anyway, I'm excited to say that at last, in 2020, telecommuting is upon us. Maybe.
As my dear friend, Mario reminds me, "Wisdom comes with age; but sometimes age comes alone." Things are chaotic, and probably about to get more so. And we should use our best God-given wisdom . . . for those of us who were given it by God.
So, I say, "Bring it!" Bring the chaos!
Am I crazy? Well, that's not important right now. What IS important is a sentence that came to me as I was praying about the Covid 19 situation this morning. And I spoke it out loud to the Master, "You've always done your most amazing work in the middle of chaos." . . . "Amen!"
Meanwhile. If you find a good deal on hand sanitizer, or some place that still carries it, please let me know as a good friend of mine says he's down to 16 cases. Thanks in advance!
Oh, and does anybody know where I can find some toilet paper?
