I BELIEVE with all my heart, that to Mom, Nobody else’s child is as pretty, bright, or important as YOU— Her baby.
Enemies of Mama's baby will experience swift and undesirable consequences.
Potential enemies will receive “The Look.”
YOU, however, will receive her hugs, kisses, and complete adoration. Even if she had a dozen children, YOU would be the ‘special one.’
You may tell her not to,
You may think you don’t need her to,
But Mom will watch out for you the rest of her life.
Nobody will ever watch your back better than Mom.
Mom knows.
She notices everything. She will never forget one-single-detail about you.
Forever . . .
And can recall any or all things you ever did or said At the most inopportune moments, if she wishes.
But it will be for your own good!
For success and wellbeing,
She will install strength and dignity in you.
You will need those sooner than you think! She will demonstrate what LOVE really means. Know someone who is thoughtful, considerate, polite, and/or respectful?
They most likely learned it from Mom.
Mom’s mystique is born out of our Creator’s “loving-kindness" (Heb: חסד).
She runs her household tirelessly, and no one shall be idle! Not. Even. Dad. Mom will acquaint you with the sovereignty of God. But, you will also learn the meaning of comforted. You will regret the times you choose to reject her instructions. Not because of punishment, but because you missed out.
Mom will feed YOU—even if she goes without. She will never complain about it; she’ll hide it from you.
And you'll learn of this truth far too late to say, "Thank you."
Mom will clothe you properly. And require you to keep clean in body, mind, and soul . . . oh, and speech. She'll insist that you become acceptably clean and groomed
Daily, at minimum. SHE decides what is acceptable.
Mom is always spot-ON . . . (and spot OFF).
You will never know how she has grieved for, Hoped for,
Wept over,
And prayed about
YOU.
Watched you breathe while you slept.
One day you will be so much more Thankful for her, only it will be
Through tears. Even in death, Mom will never really Leave you. She will still speak.
But I suggest that you converse with her every chance you get now.
For
One-day your conversations will be One-way only.
My Mom was a giver, and taught me to be generous and gentle;
To freely give everything of myself to the people I love
Requiring nothing in return.
When I knew a situation was impossible to fix
She insisted, “You think things will never get better, but they will.”
OR, she phrased it, "Everything is gonna be OK."
You know what?
Things got better; they worked out well. Every time.
Mom smiled often, quietly mentoring me about the awesome power of a genuine smile alone.
It has been said,“You don’t know what you have ‘til it’s gone.” And When I close my eyes on Mother's Day
I picture Mom softly repeating those words with an enigmatic smile, and
Not once did she explain what she meant.
But now I know:
"Gone" is a four-letter word.
If you are a mother
I wish for you the special day you deserve—
With your babies!
For
You. Are. Amazing.
Happy Mothers’ Day!
